TEAM ARCTIC PROVES THAT GREEN IS GOLD AT 2015 X GAMES

XGames2015

Team Arctic proved that green is gold at the 2015 ESPN Winter X Games in Aspen, Colo., capturing two gold medals, a silver and one bronze, with outstanding performances by 17 athletes and crew members.

Tucker Hibbert kept his incredible win-streak alive, taking his eighth-consecutive gold medal after a dominant performance in snocross. Hibbert now has 13 overall medals in X Games competition dating back to his first appearance in 2000, at which he won his first of nine career gold medals. Joining Hibbert in snocross competition were Team Arctic racers David Joanis, Logan Christian, Cody Thomsen and Mike Bauer.

Ryan Simons scored his first career gold medal when he delivered a commanding win in Hillcross competition, an event that combined elements of hill climb and snocross. His path to victory included competition from teammates Kyle Tapio, David McClure, Rob Kincaid, Nathan Zollinger, Trace Tupper and Taylor Meuwissen.

Cory Davis captured the most medals of any snowmobile athlete at this year’s X Games, with a Silver in Long Jump and a Bronze in Speed & Style. Willie Elam and Brett Turcotte were the other Team Arctic competitors in Speed & Style.

Jeff Tweet was a whisker from collecting a medal in Snocross Adaptive. He finished fourth overall, with teammate Chris Heppding taking sixth.

“Everyone at Arctic Cat is proud of the 17 athletes and crew members who made this the most successful X Games in recent memory,” said Mike Kloety, Team Arctic Race Manager. “It takes a huge effort to just make it to X Games. With millions of viewers watching from all over the world, Team Green gave an outstanding performance that brought medals and great competition.”

Plymouth, MN (Jan. 12) – Three races into the ISOC National Tour and Team Arctic is still crushing the competition. This time it was at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, Minn., where record spectator attendance witnessed Team Green win both Pro classes, Pro Women and Semi-Pro Open, along with podium finishes in nearly every class.

“Our racers continue to prove their excellence in the highest level of national snocross racing,” said Mike Kloety, Team Arctic Race Manager. “With four wins in the top classes and a point lead in six classes, Canterbury was another hugely successful weekend for our team.”

Once again Tucker Hibbert delivered a mind-boggling, stand-out performance, winning every heat race and both Pro Super Stock and Pro Open finals by convincing margins. The Goodridge, Minn., phenom hasn’t lost a race all season, going six-for-six to absolutely dominate the three National events so far.

Joining Hibbert on the podium in the Pro classes were two racers whose stock are going straight up: Garth Kaufman and Brett Turcotte. Kaufman, of Boise, Idaho, threw down a series of blistering laps in the middle of the Pro Stock final to finish second and his first podium of the season. Turcotte (Clearwater, British Columbia) was equally impressive in Pro Open, turning his first podium-placing of the season with a strong second.

Carly Davis (Soldotna, Alaska) led a Team Arctic sweep of the Pro Women class, with J.C. Hupe, April Moritz and Taylor Carlson taking second-through-fourth respectively. Dan Ebert continued his remarkable season in Semi Pro by winning the Open class and finishing second in Semi Pro Super Stock.
