TEAM ARCTIC WINS MORE AT ISOC SNOCROSS SPIRIT NATIONAL

Team Arctic snocross racers launched into the 2015-2016 season and on top of the podium with a stunning performance at the ISOC National at Spirit Mountain in Duluth, Minn., delivering six victories, 21 podium positions and a winning performance across all classes and categories aboard the mighty Arctic Cat ZR6000R SX.

Tucker Hibbert once again led the charge at Duluth with a dominant performance in the Pro Open class, taking the win on night one with his fifth consecutive victory at this venue, followed by a near-miss on the second day that saw him charge from mid-pack to second place, less than a half-second from passing for the win. Justin Broberg joined Team Arctic this season and immediately proved his place among the Pro Open elite with a fourth place finish that bodes well for the rest of the season. And David Joanis was the top qualifier of the weekend backing it up with a sixth place finish.

If there were questions about Team Arctic’s top Sport riders moving into the Pro Lite class for this season, they answered it with a show of force sure to make the competition nervous. Montana Jess claimed a pair of second place finishes, Dan Benham took a third place, and Team Arctic claimed five of the top-10 in one final and four of the top-10 in the other.

Ryley Bester hit a new level of speed and confidence to start the season, taking commanding wins in both Jr. 14-15 and Jr. 16-17. The winning continued in the youth classes with Eric Downs claiming Jr. 10-13, Inanna Hauger winning Jr. Girls 9-13, and Anson Scheele taking Transition 8-12. When Team Arctic wasn’t winning, they were a whisker away from it. Eddie Neubaur, Dylan Jansen and Brandon Lind delivered podium finishes in the Sport and Sport Lite classes, while Wes Selby made a strong return to snocross with a second in Pro AM 30 Plus.

“We’re happy and excited,” said Team Arctic Race Manager Mike Kloety, when asked about the team’s overall performance at Duluth. “For starters, it’s great to capture the big class with Tucker. That’s the headline win for sure. But it’s equally impressive to win every Junior category, with Team Green taking five of the top-6 in Jr. 16-17, four of the top-5 in Jr. 10-13 and seven of the top-10 in Jr. Girls. Plus we claimed podium positions in every Pro Lite, Sport and Sport Lite class. It proves how hard our racers and teams have worked, the power and handling of our ZR6000R SX race sled and the strength of our program.”

The next ISOC snocross national is Dec. 11-12 in Fargo, ND.

TEAM ARCTIC TAKES TOP HONORS IN 2015 ISOC SNOCROSS

Team Arctic’s world class contingent of snocross racers capped a successful 2015 ISOC National tour by scoring six wins and the premier championship title during the final rounds of competition in Lake Geneva, Wis.

Tucker Hibbert once again delivered a performance for the ages, winning three consecutive Pro Open finals at Lake Geneva while capturing his ninth career high point championship title. Hibbert’s season was beyond compare, with the tenacious drive scoring 13 of 17 ISOC Pro open finals, breaking the 100 National win mark (with 108 wins by season end) and donning his eighth consecutive X Games gold medal.

Team Arctic’s Montana Jess made a successful return to racing at Lake Geneva after sitting out several rounds to recover from an injury he suffered earlier this season, with the resilient racer taking a big win in the Sport class. Trent Wittwer extended his lock on the Amateur class at Lake Geneva by scoring yet another win. And Ryley Bester delivered a truly dominant performance in the Jr. Novice class, winning every heat and final.

TEAM ARCTIC SHOWS TRUE TERRRAIN DOMINATION AT USXC WARROAD 100

Team Arctic cross-country proved what terrain domination really means during their 14-victory performance at the USXC Warroad 100. Competing in deep snow conditions ranging from ditch, lakes and river aboard ZR 6000R XC and ZR 4000RR snowmobiles in the ProCross chassis, Team Green claimed 14 wins out of 19 classes, 39 out of 57 podium positions and ended the season with 15 of 20 class high point championship titles.

The competition-crushing performance was led by Zach Herfindahl, who claimed two emphatic wins en rout to championship titles in Pro Stock and Pro Open, edging out teammate Wes Selby for high point honors. Class-rookie Ryan Trout notched his first victory of the season in Semi Pro Stock, while Timmy Kallock took the Semi Pro Improved win and championship title. Additional class winners in Warroad include Brandon Wolter, Nathan Sillerud, Mike Lenarz, Mike Dirkman, Jolene Bute, Ross Ilstrup, Hunter Houle, Blair Herfindahl and Savannah Landrus.

Team Arctic’s 2015 USXC high point champions include Zach Herfindahl (Pro Stock, Pro Open); Lance Efteland (Semi Pro Stock); Timmy Kallock (Semi Pro Improved); Jeremy Grove (Expert 85, Expert 85 Improved); Mike Dirkman (Masters 40 Plus); Brandon Wolter (Sport 85); Ean Voigt (Trail); Savannah Landrus (Junior Girls); Hunter Houle (Junior 14-17); Keaton Black (Junior 10-13); Steve Martinson (Classic IFS); Jesse Watland (Vintage) and Gerry Mattison (Vintage 50 Plus).

“We couldn’t be happier and more proud of our racers and crews who dominated Warroad as well as the entire USXC cross-country season,” said Mike Kloety, Team Arctic Race Manager. “Their talent and hard work combined with our ProCross ZR snowmobiles delivered twice as many wins and championship titles as all other brands combined.”

Team Arctic hillclimb racers conquered the RMSHA White Pine event in Pinedale, Wyo., with five class wins and 14 podium finishes aboard Arctic Cat M Series snowmobiles with the ProClimb chassis. The top finishes occurred in a range of categories and engine classes, proving the versatility and range of the machines along with the expertise and preparation of the racers and crews.

CHECKERED FLAGS KEEP WAVING FOR TEAM ARCTIC’S SNOCROSS AND CROSS-COUNTRY RACERS

The checkered flag of victory continued to wave for Team Arctic cross-country and snocross racers, who combined to take 44 first-place finishes during a weekend of terrain competition.

Team Green remains the undisputed king of cross-country, and their performance at the USXC Thief River Falls 300 reinforced the fact with 17 of 21 class wins, 40 of 63 podium placing’s (including seven podium sweeps). Wes Selby continued his victory parade by winning the hard-fought Pro Stock class. Team Arctic captured six of the top-10 positions, with Cody Kallock, Timmy Kallock, Chad Lian, Jordan Torgerson and Ryan Trout earning the honors.

Other Thief River Falls 300 class winners include Timmy Kallock, Jeremy Grove, Jon Arneson, Matt Feil, Jolene Bute, Brandon Wolter, Ean Voigt, David Brown, Savannah Landrus, Karl Mattison, James Mattison, Mike Mattison and Gerry Mattison.

 

Team Arctic showed its depth and resolve by scoring four wins at the ISOC snocross national in Mt. Pleasant, Mich. Tucker Hibbert led the way with a win in Pro Open, while Logan Christian maintained his torrid pace to score another podium.

Trent Wittwer, Ryley Bester and CJ Petosky also scored wins at Mt. Pleasant for Team Arctic. In all, Team Arctic racers notched 15 podium positions at the penultimate stop of the 2015 ISOC National tour.

“Our racers and crews continue to deliver outstanding results aboard the ProCross-based ZR race sleds,” said Mike Kloety, Team Arctic Race Manager. “We dominated the two-day, 300-mile cross-country in convincing fashion, and we held tough in Mt. Pleasant with key class victories and podiums. With just one remaining weekend of USXC cross-country and a final weekend of ISOC National snocross, many Team Arctic racers are on the verge of winning year-end championship points battles.”

The final race of the USXC season is March 7-8 in Warroad, Minn. The last stop of the ISOC National season is March 13-15 in Lake Geneva, Wis.

 

TEAM ARCTIC TRIUMPHS AT ENDURO TRIPLE CROWN AND ISOC SNOCROSS

Team Arctic was on the gas and cashing in on big wins at the MIRA Triple Crown of enduro racing in Lincoln, Mich., and at the ISOC National snocross in Chicago. From the high-speed oval to the high-flying snocross terrain, Team Green wins more.

Cadarette Racing proved to be the best team in the MIRA No Bull Triple Crown series, capturing the overall title and the $15,000 payday with a second place finish in last weekend’s race in the Lincoln 500 combined with a second in the Soo 500 and a fourth at the Kinross 500. The team proved exceedingly fast and consistent, with pro racers Troy Dewald, Chad Lian, Cody Miaskoch and Jeff Leuenberger matched by the dominant Arctic Cat ZR 6000R race sled powered by a Speedwerx-modified Arctic Cat 600 C-TEC2 EFI engine.

Team Arctic snocross racers continued their onslaught of the ISOC national series, storming into Route 66 Raceway in Chicago for rounds 11 and 12. Tucker Hibbert delivered another stunning performance in Pro Open, winning every heat and both finals in dominant fashion while solidifying his nearly insurmountable championship points lead. Logan Christian of the Christian Brothers Racing team continued his season long march to the top of the Pro Open class, taking second place in round 12.

Ryley Bester and Brayden Kernz also scored wins for Team Arctic in Chicago while continuing the momentum into what will be the final two stops of the 2015 season.

“Winning the No Bull Triple Crown enduro series and finishing one-two in ISOC Pro Open reflects the talent and hard work of our racers, teams and snowmobiles,” said Mike Kloety, Team Arctic Race Manager.”

The next stop on the ISOC National snocross tour is Feb. 28 – March 1 in Mt. Pleasant, Mich.

TEAM ARCTIC WINS MORE IN DEADWOOD AND PARK RAPIDS

Team Arctic snocross and cross-country racers hit the bullseye at national events in Deadwood, SD, and Park Rapids, Minn., capturing more wins and more podiums than any other brand.

Team Green kept their leadership position intact at the ISOC snocross national in Deadwood, where they won 7 of 15 classes while notching 20 of 45 podium positions, the most of any brand. Tucker Hibbert delivered one of the most memorable performances in snocross history, coming from last place to win the Pro Open #2 final, his 100th career Pro National victory.

Other top Team Arctic performances include Dan Benham’s two wins in Sport; Trent Wittwer and Kaden Woodie swapping wins in the Amateur classes; Tyler Adams’s pair of seconds in Pro Lite; Eric Downs’s win in Jr. Novice and Brandon Nelson’s win in Transition.

While Team Green snocrossers were shooting them down in Deadwood, the cross-country corps stamped out any battle that might have occurred in Park Rapids, taking 13 of 19 class victories and 37 of 56 podium positions, including eight podium sweeps.

For the first time in his short cross-country career, Wes Selby achieved victory in the hotly contested Pro Stock class, while his teammate Zach Herfindahl led a sweep of the Pro Open final. Team Arctic proved its depth and talent with eleven different class winners, including: Lance Efteland, Dylan Stevens, Todd Frischmon, Hunter Houle, Ean Voigt, Steve Martinson, Tyler Brown, Savannah Landrus and Keaton Black.

“Our racers and teams are truly exceptional,” said Mike Kloety. “This past weekend was historic on so many levels, from the number of wins and podium finishes, to the key victories that define careers. We couldn’t be more proud of our racers, or the snowmobiles they ride.”

The next stop on the 2015 ISOC National schedule is Feb. 6-7 in Salamanca, NY. The next USXC cross-country Feb. 28 – March 1 in Thief River Falls, Minn. The Soo International 500 enduro begins this week, with the premier-class final on Feb. 6.

TEAM ARCTIC PROVES THAT GREEN IS GOLD AT 2015 X GAMES

Team Arctic proved that green is gold at the 2015 ESPN Winter X Games in Aspen, Colo., capturing two gold medals, a silver and one bronze, with outstanding performances by 17 athletes and crew members.

Tucker Hibbert kept his incredible win-streak alive, taking his eighth-consecutive gold medal after a dominant performance in snocross. Hibbert now has 13 overall medals in X Games competition dating back to his first appearance in 2000, at which he won his first of nine career gold medals. Joining Hibbert in snocross competition were Team Arctic racers David Joanis, Logan Christian, Cody Thomsen and Mike Bauer.

Ryan Simons scored his first career gold medal when he delivered a commanding win in Hillcross competition, an event that combined elements of hill climb and snocross. His path to victory included competition from teammates Kyle Tapio, David McClure, Rob Kincaid, Nathan Zollinger, Trace Tupper and Taylor Meuwissen.

Cory Davis captured the most medals of any snowmobile athlete at this year’s X Games, with a Silver in Long Jump and a Bronze in Speed & Style. Willie Elam and Brett Turcotte were the other Team Arctic competitors in Speed & Style.

Jeff Tweet was a whisker from collecting a medal in Snocross Adaptive. He finished fourth overall, with teammate Chris Heppding taking sixth.

TEAM ARCTIC SHOWS DEPTH AT 2015 ISOC CANTERBURY SNOCROSS NATIONAL

Team Arctic proved their depth and excellence at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, Minn., winning 8 of 16 classes and capturing 18 of 48 podium finishes at the third stop of the 2014-2015 ISOC National Snocross tour. In a stunning display of class leadership and ZR 6000R SX excellence, Team Green captured victory in both Pro Lite finals and both Sport finals in addition to sweeping the podium in Sport and Transition.

Corey Watkinson and Tyler Adams each scored their first respective win in Pro Lite, with Watkinson taking the win on Friday and first-year Pro Lite racer Adams taking the win on Saturday. Their solid finishes launch them straight into the season-long championship title chase. Montana Jess did the double at Canterbury, taking both Sport class wins along with a commanding lead in the point chase.

Other Team Arctic class winners at Canterbury Park included Trent Wittwer (Amateur), Ryley Bester (Jr. Novice), Brandon Nelson (Transition) and Tucker Haala (Champ 120).

In the Pro Open class, Team Arctic’s Tucker Hibbert fell just shy of scoring his 100th Pro National victory, taking a second and fourth during the weekend while extending his point lead and earning top-qualifier honors both days. He was joined by the next top qualifier, Logan Christian, who scored a 5th and 10th respectively.

“Our team proved their depth across the entire range of classes,” said Mike Kloety, Team Arctic Race Manager. “To win half of all finals – including sweeping the Pro Lite and Sport classes – highlights the skill and dedication of our racers and teams, as well as the strength of our consumer-based ProCross race chassis.”

The next stop on the 2015 ISOC National tour is Jan. 30-31, 2015, at in Deadwood, SD, following the ESPN X Games on Jan. 25.

TEAM ARCTIC SENDS A MESSAGE AT 2014-2015 ISOC NATIONAL SNOCROSS OPENER

If there were any questions about which brand would reign supreme at the 2014-2015 ISOC National Snocross opener in Duluth, Minn., Team Arctic delivered a resounding answer: We’re the ones to beat! It was an answer that echoed among the 20,000 race fans atop Spirit Mountain who witnessed Team Green victory in 8 of 15 classes, as well as 20 out of 45 possible podium finishes.

Leading the charge for the beginning of his 15^th season atop the Pro category was Tucker Hibbert, who stomped his particular brand of authority on the premier class with wins in every heat and both Pro Open finals to notch his 96^th and 97^th career victories. David Joanis and Logan Christian also delivered inspired performances in the premier class, setting the stage for a strong season.

Montana Jess returned to competition for the first time since suffering what was nearly a career-ending hand injury last season, taking an emotional win in the Sport final. Other Team Arctic class winners at Duluth included Lee Butler in ProAm Plus 30, Trent Wittwer and Colin Kernz in the Amateur classes, Carson Alread in Junior Novice, and Anson Scheele in Transition.

“With the talented racers and mechanics on our team matched by the more potent 2015 ZR 6000R SX in the ProCross chassis, we expected to do well at the season opener,” said Mike Kloety, Team Arctic Race Manager, “But you never know until it all plays out. To win more than half of the classes while taking 45 percent of the podium places proves that we are the ones to beat for the 2015 season.
